Hollia heads the Asia practice at Madison Branson Lawyers. She combines her technical skills and years of experience with a practical problem-solving approach.

Hollia is fluent in both Cantonese and Mandarin and with her bilingual skills, she has built strong and long-lasting relationships with high-net-worth clients, investors, as well as property developers. She has led fund-raising projects for clients involving off-the-plan, residential and commercial properties.

Hollia has worked as a lawyer in Hong Kong and Sydney, and she specialises in corporate and commercial with an emphasis on:

Debt capital markets transactions including high-yield and investment-grade bond offerings;

Hollia has been involved in several significant, market-leading transactions, she:

Acted for various leading property developers in the People’s Republic of China (“China”) in connection with multiple international notes issuance, which involves indenture, inter-creditor agreement with complex security package over 50 BVI and Hong Kong subsidiaries;

Acted for one of the largest operators of international and bilingual K-12 schools in China in connection with its international notes issuance;

Acted for a blockchain technology company with strong application specific integrated circuit chip design capability on its IPO in the United States with a Greenshoe option to purchase additional shares on the NASDAQ;

Acted for a leading independent cloud service provider in China on its IPO of American depositary shares on the NASDAQ and advised on its pre-IPO share capital restructuring, which involved re-classifying and re-designating five classes of shares;

Acted on an award-winning global restructuring which won the 2019 IFLR Asia Pacific Award “Restructuring Deal of the Year”. This was a highly complex transaction involving parallel schemes of arrangement in England and Bermuda as well as the appointment of a provisional liquidator in Bermuda to transfer the assets of the Company and Chapter 15 proceedings in the United States of America;

Acted for one of the leading hotel groups in connection with its senior dated bullet bonds, the unrated bonds under its Euro Medium Term Note Programme;

Acted for companies involves property development, investment and management in the PRC and on various high-end property projects including luxury hotel;

Acted on its privatisation by way of a number of schemes of arrangement between the company and its scheme shareholders and its delisting from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
